Completely self-taught and passionate, Yves Auboyer has been practicing photography since the age of 10. He has always been interested in the nature of which he is very close, and has logically turned to macro-photography to sublimate it in its most subtle details. Yves Auboyer exhibits regularly throughout France on two themes that are dear to him: street photography and macro-photography. In addition, he regularly experimented with new subjects and new media. He 's going deeper when he is passionate about subjects. Having practiced silver photography for many years, he remained attached to «raw» images. His extensive practice of slide and black and white has accustomed him to a rigorous practice of framing and exposure. As a result, he never uses Photoshop and sticks to basic LightRoom processing, similar to development techniques.

Exposition

For more than 8 years now, Yves has been concentrating, every spring, on a flower generally considered of little interest by photographers because of its white color and frequency. The “Anequarelle” series is entirely dedicated to anemone nemorosa, whose purity and subtle shades of colour can be appreciated through a treatment between photography and painting. Printed on textured paper close to the papers used by watercolourists (Hahnemüle Photo Rag Bright White 310 gr), the resulting support is very fragile and can only be displayed indoors. The frames are open, without glass to ensure that the images are read without reflections. They are also composed of a fine black aluminium structure that perfectly highlights the prints, themselves enhanced by a white border to appreciate the purity of the art paper. Finally, even if the appearances are contrary, the images are only slightly retouched (in Lightroom): the essence of the «watercolor» effect is obtained by a strong overexposure (of type «High- Key») at the shooting, taking care however to keep the texture in the high lights.
